Dr. Jennifer Tse
Dr. Jennifer Tse studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Waterloo. She then obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. During her time at U of T she graduated with honours and was awarded 2 scholarships in the area of restorative dentistry. She gained experience working with children at Weeneebayko General Hospital providing healthcare to under serviced communities in Ontario. She is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Assocation. Dr. Tse enjoys practicing family dentistry, and has a strong focus in working with children. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
Dr. Florentino Afonso
Dr. Florentino Afonso grew up in the West Toronto area and graduated with high distinction from University of Toronto University College in 1984, with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and immunology. He continued at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1988, graduating with high distinction and as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Tau Tau Chapter National Dental Honour Society. He currently teaches at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry on a part-time basis as a clinical instructor. He is a graduate of Temple University and Misch International Implant Institute of Canada. In 2010, he obtained a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Afonso is a current member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Reinaldo Botelho
Dr. Botelho was born in Curacao and was raised in Montreal. He attended McGill University for his undergraduate degree in Physiology, and later obtained his dentistry degree from the University of Toronto in 1988. Dr. Botelho is committed to his profession, and as a result he regularly attends dental seminars and conventions to maintain his proficiency in dentistry. When not at work Dr. Botelho enjoys travelling, swimming, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Byung Jun (Chris) Song
Dr. Song is a board-certified general dentist and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Toronto. Dr. Song was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Society, offered to the top 10% of the graduating class for excellence in scholarship and exemplary traits of character. Dr. Song is a current member of Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association and excels in all aspects of general dentistry including wisdom teeth removal and missing tooth replacement through the use of dental implants. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Song enjoys outdoor sports including hiking, biking and dance.
Dr. Priscilla De Araujo
Dr. Priscilla was educated on a full scholarship at the State University of Rio de Janeiro where she earned her dental degree. She then earned her orthodontics specialty degree at Veiga de Almeida University. During her training, Dr. Priscilla worked at Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital where she gained experience treating patients with facial trauma. Her professional development continued as both a dentist and orthodontist at several clinics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After a vacation to Toronto in 2012, her love for Canada became permanent when she made Toronto her home. She has since earned her license with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons and is a member of the Ontario Dental Association.
Dr. Jon Rapp
Originally from Montreal, Dr. Rapp graduated with distinction from McGill University with a major in Anatomy and Cell Biology and a minor in Psychology. In 2001, Dr. Rapp obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Toronto. Upon graduation he was awarded the Edward G Dore Award.
After seven years in private practice, Dr. Rapp re-entered academics and attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale to complete a two year specialty in Endodontics and was the recipient of The Dr. Robert Uchin Award.
Dr. Rapp is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of The American Association of Endodontists and a faculty member in endodontics at The University of Toronto. His research on instrument wear has been presented at several conferences.
In his spare time, he enjoys all sports and traveling.
Dr. Daniel Fortino
Dr Daniel Fortino is a Board Certified Periodontist and obtained his Specialty Degree in Periodontics and a Masters in Science from the Centre for Advanced Dental Education in St Louis, Missouri. After his specialty, he pursued a fellowship in Advanced Oral Implantology at the School of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo working in conjunction with the Prosthodontic and Oral and Maxillofacial Departments. Dr Fortino is the staff surgeon who completes full mouth reconstructive cases and restoring patients with dental implants.
He joined the Department of Periodontics at the School of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo as a part-time faculty member and is currently on staff at the Graduate Periodontics Clinic.
In 2017, he achieved Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology; a distinction given to a periodontist who has undertaken requirements and examination beyond mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. Dr Fortino holds a dual license both in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Fortino grew up in the Hamilton (Ancaster) area and completed his undergraduate education at McMaster University in 2010, earning a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) Degree graduating with distinction. He then continued his education at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014. He received the Oral Pathology and Periodontics award upon graduation.
Dr Fortino has been published on topics relating to peri-implantitis (advanced dental implant placement), sinus grafting and the treatment of periodontal disease.
